Prayer Focus

New Year Corporate Prayer & Fasting
January 2-22

Pastor Thom and Shelby are calling GCA to a 21-day fast to honor God for the new year. We believe that as we seek God and give Him our best at the start of 2009, He will hear our prayers and move in a mighty way!
(II Chron. 7:14)

Our primary focus will be for leaders (I Tim. 2:1-2) and freedom from chains that keep us from reaching our full potential (Isaiah 58:6). Fasting can bring release from the bondage of sin, restoration of relationships, spiritual renewal, supernatural healing, removal of burdens, freedom from oppression, and so much more!

As Pastor wrote on his blog, "Fasting positions us as qualified recipients of God’s Ultimate Bailout Plan." This is a fast He has chosen to respond to.

Didn’t get in on the "official" start of the fast? Get on board now! Ask God to show you what He type of fast He desires of you, whether its dietary, lifestyle, or both. We’re expecting God to move in a mighty way as we obey His Word and seek Him!
(Matt. 6:33; Heb. 11:6)

During the Garden’s time prayer and fasting, we will participate in the first of three special prayer services called by senior pastors from around the Tri-Cities. The focus of this first service will be for the leaders of our nation, the inauguration of President Elect Barak Obama, and various needs our country is facing.

7-8pm
Monday, January 19

Information on the February and March meeting will be announced as it becomes available.
