SHAREFEST OFFERING
The 2010 ShareFest offering will benefit the Juvenile Drug Court, a powerful, local agency with high accountability to get teens off drugs and alcohol. They’re in danger of closing and won’t receive additional funding until next year. Because of ShareFest's pledge to support Juvenile Drug Court, HAPO donated $100,000 to them! Our hope is that between ShareFest's offering and HAPO's donation most, if not all, of the cost to keep them open for another year will be covered!
Just write “ShareFest” on your check or offering envelope and give anytime through March 21. The Garden will be making a donation to ShareFest following the Work Day.
The Garden’s Part
2006: 45 workers provided landscape and irrigation for Habitat For Humanity homes.
2007: 75 of us planted trees at Hansen Park and did yard work and debris removal for 7 elderly and disabled families.
2008: We more than doubled our ministry impact to the elderly and disabled by providing much needed yard clean-up, debris removal, and minor home repair to 15 families in our community.
2009: By being obedient and allowing God’s love to flow through us, we increased our effectiveness yet again as nearly 100 GCA volunteers completed projects at a total of 25 homes last year!
2010: The Lord has put the family unit on our hearts this year. From fixing a stair rail to bagging leaves or delivering lunches and praying for our work crews, you can be a part of positively impacting more families in our community.
Together, we can be the shining light of Christ to those around us! In agreement with ShareFest Tri-Cities, the Garden believes that as area churches show we care for the community, in a tangible way, it sends a great message of love for God and the families in our area. Prove! Serve! Give! Love! Put flesh on the Word of God. Make it tangible, observable, and undeniable!
